The original video, I found it hilarious. I mean, who didn’t? But I did not think it was in any way racist. I feel like it touched on a lot of issues that is happening in today’s society. Me being a latina and watching Shit Spanish girls say, I found it so hilarious and I found it very true for some latinas. Some of the parts related to me and I just found it really funny. Who thinks this was racist or how do you feel about the videos over all?

The hunger games trailer.
I always bypassed the books, they never caught my attention until I kept seeing everyone talking about it. Of course, curiosity won over so I picked it up at the library. Few pages in and I was hooked! I fell in love with Katniss and Peeta. Such a good read and I will definitely be going to see the movie. I am pretty much excited and wish it was coming out in theaters earlier than March 2012. Wish I was able to audition for the movie, maybe I will audition for Catching Fire :)

My good friend Lenny send me this link for me to sign up, which is a non-profit filmmaking program teaching marginalized, refugee and war-affected youth to find an authentic voice through the medium of film. I automatically went to apply but then I took the time to read about the program and I came upon the Class of 2010 and Spring Class of 2011 where I literally spent an hour looking through each student bios and videos and some of the videos made me tear up because of the story that they told. You can see the dedication and relation they put into their films and I thought this is how its done, this is what film making should be about. Everyone has a story to tell that relates to many people out there who are heard or have the support they need. Everyone should be heard and I hope many people see that. Please take the time to look at each student and their videos, listen to their stories. You will be amaze and realize that there is more to life than sitting back watching a reality show of people making a fool of themselves. Yes, I am one of those people, I love Keeping up with the Kardashians and Bad girls club but I do take the time to hear people that matter and are making a difference in the world, you should too.

(Just Love me a spacious kitchen for my Spanish cooking :) Oh & my Oreo Cake Hmm HMM)
(Beautiful isn’t it?! Hopefully I can live here :)
I think I found my dream apartment, now my only goal is to get it. Thank you Vacancy.com. My cousin and I have been looking for a decent 2bd apartment in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan for months and we have just gotten fooled by most of the agents or they are asking for too much. Spring Creek Gardens is what I am looking for in price, such as their 2bedroom apartment being only $977 and it reminds me of my previous dorm. The lounges they have, I will be there everyday after a long day of school and work. As for their kitchen, I love it and it is something I am looking for, a spacious kitchen for my wonderful cooking and baking. This place looks very comfortable and it seems like a safe area for my 4”11 frame. I am always sketchy about a place and I need to feel comfortable and be around many good people. They also have a senior lounge, which is great because I can always converse with everyone and help any of the senior citizens when I am at home. I would love It even more if it was a College Campus apartment complex to be well connected with people my age but hey I am a laid back person, so you will catch me with a book in the lounge or in the basketball courts working on my basketball non-skills. What I also like about it is that they have after school programs and I would definitely volunteer in their programs during my free time to get acquainted with the families that live there. I requested more info and now I am just waiting to get a call back. Hope everything works out and if it does I will be moving into my 1st new apartment, thanks to Vacancy.com.
